About the Job...

The Carpenter provides carpentry skills necessary for maintaining facilities.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports directly to Location Maintenance Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide carpentry skills necessary for maintaining facilities.
• Accountable for materials used and ordering of items needed for job completion or inventory replacement per established Company procedure.
• Does non-related job tasks when necessary.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Constructs, remodels and repairs wooden structures, buildings and their furnishings.
• Familiar with the various grades and types of wood, building materials and their proper use.
• Should be able to work from blueprints and sketches.
• Skilled in use of tools common to the trade.
• This position may require the use of respiratory protection. OSHA standards require a clean-shaven face and a medical screening.
• Comply with all current related safety and health requirements.
• Able to read, understand and comply with all current Company policies and procedures.
• Must possess physical stamina and condition to withstand heavy labor related work in an outside environment.
• Must be capable of lifting objects weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

AUTHORITIES:

Work with maintenance and location personnel.
