About the Job...

The Heavy Equipment Operator provides equipment and man power park wide to facilitate openings and closings. Work includes snow removal when needed. 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports directly to Heavy Equipment Operator/Lead.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide equipment and manpower to departments park-wide to facilitate  opening/closing and operation. Work includes snow removal.
  • Accountable for materials used and ordering of items needed for job completion or inventory replacement per established Company procedure.
  • Provide heavy labor work as required.
  • Does non-related job tasks when necessary.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Skilled in operation and maintenance of all heavy equipment and large trucks as assigned.
  • Able to work in a professional and timely manner with minimum supervision to complete assigned tasks.
  • Knowledge of basic tradesman skills.
  • Skilled in use of tools common to the trade.
  • This position will require the use of respiratory protection. OSHA standards require a  clean-shaven face and a medical screening.
  • Comply with all current related safety and health requirements.
  • Able to read, understand and comply with all current Company policies and procedures.
  • Must possess physical stamina and condition to withstand heavy labor related work in an outside environment.
  • Must be capable or lifting objects weighing up to 70 pounds.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license A1 (air brakes).
  • Must meet Department of Transportation physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening as a safety sensitive employee subject to random substance abuse screening under Company policy.

AUTHORITIES:

Work with maintenance, location and National Park Service personnel.
