About the Job...
The Heavy Equipment Operator provides equipment and man power park wide to facilitate openings and closings. Work includes snow removal when needed.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports directly to Heavy Equipment Operator/Lead.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide equipment and manpower to departments park-wide to facilitate opening/closing and operation. Work includes snow removal.
- Accountable for materials used and ordering of items needed for job completion or inventory replacement per established Company procedure.
- Provide heavy labor work as required.
- Does non-related job tasks when necessary.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Skilled in operation and maintenance of all heavy equipment and large trucks as assigned.
- Able to work in a professional and timely manner with minimum supervision to complete assigned tasks.
- Knowledge of basic tradesman skills.
- Skilled in use of tools common to the trade.
- This position will require the use of respiratory protection. OSHA standards require a clean-shaven face and a medical screening.
- Comply with all current related safety and health requirements.
- Able to read, understand and comply with all current Company policies and procedures.
- Must possess physical stamina and condition to withstand heavy labor related work in an outside environment.
- Must be capable or lifting objects weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Must possess a valid driver's license A1 (air brakes).
- Must meet Department of Transportation physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening as a safety sensitive employee subject to random substance abuse screening under Company policy.
AUTHORITIES:
Work with maintenance, location and National Park Service personnel.
