About the Job...

A House Person makes sure the public areas and restrooms in our hotels and lodges are clean and comfortable. Their job is to make the first impression...the best impression!
Housepersons wear uniforms provided by the company. Employees must provide leather, close-toed shoes.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports directly to the Assistant Housekeeping Manager/Housekeeping Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide our guests with the best in service, courtesy and care.
  • Comply with procedures for chemical use.
  • Comply with proper biohazard clean up procedures.
  • Comply with the Housekeeping policies and procedures.
  • Comply with Ecologix enviornmental policies and procedures.
  • Work safely to avoid injuries and accidents, including wearig proper Personal Protective Equipment.
  • When finding unsafe conditions and maintenance concerns, address them immediately by turning in Maintenance Requests.
  • Comply with work shift schedules in a thorough and timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness of Housekeeping closets, storage areas, and equipment.
  • Assist with other Housekeeping duties as assigned by the Manager/Assistant Manager.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Organizational skills.
  • The ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Being capable of self-supervision.
  • Knowledge of carpet and floor care and proper use of equipment (training is provided).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Stretching, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, kneeling, climbing up and down stairs for up to 7-8 hours per shift.
  • Making beds, stripping rooms, cleaning toilets.
  • The ability to push or pull 50-75 lbs. on a daily basis

AUTHORITIES:

To take necessary steps to ensure excellent guest service.
To respond immediately to any unsafe condition.
