Summer Internship Program Yellowstone National Park Lodges
Internships with Yellowstone National Park, Xanterra Parks and Resorts are available for students seeking college credit.
Most interns are working toward degrees in the hospitality field and any of the positions available at www.yellowstonejobs.com can be converted into internships.
When applying please include the internship requirements from your school.
Unfortunately, at this time we are not offering internships for international students.
Program Benefits:
- Gain familiarity with operations at a high volume resort property.
- Gain hands on experience in the hospitality and support industry.
- Have access to management operating in the nations first national park.
- Have access to management training opportunities from the training course catalogue.
- Network with members of the staff and learn about their roles.
- Gain real life work experience in the hospitality industry.
General Internships Will:
- Consist of on the job experience.
- Participate in official orientation and on-site training.
- Attend standard training sessions to learn the rules and regulations associated with interns selected position.
- Network with members of the staff and learn about their roles.
- Have access to management training opportunities from the training course catalogue. Classes are unpaid and must be scheduled on your days off or with your manager’s approval. In some cases classes will be mandatory with your position.

- Use your second job selection as the intern position you would like to complete

Examples of internships include... assistant cafeteria manager, assistant dining room manager, team leader, cook 3, Employee Dining Room manager.
We do not offer baking or pastry externships.
Students wishing to pursue internships within the environmental or biology field should visit the following web sites www.thesca.org and www.USAJobs.gov.
Some of our employees do volunteer with the park service. This is a great way to learn more about gaining employment with the National Park Service.
