Maintenance

Engineering Maintenance Department

The Maintenance Department makes our Yellowstone world go around by maintaining our buildings and facility equipment and everything that goes with them.

Each year, we hire staff to fix large kitchen equipment, fix and maintain plumbing, paint, operate heavy equipment, and work as general maintenance in one of many Yellowstone villages.

We also hire skilled craftspeople for our Preservation Crew and and staff to maintain compliances for our structural fire systems around the park.

Boiler Technician

The Boiler Technician is responsible for the total daily operation and maintenance of boilers and related equipment. more


Carpenter

The Carpenter provides carpentry skills necessary for maintaining facilities. more


Electrician

The Electrician provides electrician skills necessary for maintaining, repairing and installing new and/or existing electronic systems. more


Fire Systems Technician

The Fire Systems Technician is responsible for inspecting, testing and maintaining portable fire extinguishers, fire hose stations and sprinkler systems. more


General Maintenance

The General Maintenance Staff provides skill and manpower to park wide locations to facilitate openings and closings and for repair and maintenance needed to keep location facilities in good working order. more


Heavy Equipment Operator

The Heavy Equipment Operator provides equipment and man power park wide to facilitate openings and closings. Work includes snow removal when needed. more


Kitchen Technician

The Kitchen Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining kitchen equipment on location and training staff in the proper use of all kitchen equipment. more


Laundry Technician

The Laundry Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of industrial laundry equipment and the associated building. more


Locksmith

The Locksmith is responsible for the repair and maintenance of location lock systems. more


Painter

The Painter is responsible for the repair and upkeep of painted, stained and varnished surfaces and areas around the park. more


Plumber

The Plumber provides plumbing skills necessary to maintain water operations in Xanterra facilities around the park. more


Preservation Craftsperson

The Preservation Maintenance Crew Craftsperson Helps preserve, maintain and repair historic facilities, working with the Engineering Department in documenting any activity on Xanterra operated buildings listed on the National Historic Register in Yellowstone National Park. more
