Preservation Mantenance Crew

About the Job...

The Preservation Maintenance Crew Craftsperson Helps preserve, maintain and repair historic facilities, working with the Engineering Department in documenting any activity on Xanterra operated buildings listed on the National Historic Register in Yellowstone National Park.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports directly to Preservation Maintenance Crew Foreman.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs hands on cyclic maintenance and repair to historic structures under the guidance of the Preservation Crew Foreman.
• Is accountable for the materials and tools used while performing work.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Skilled in the use of tools common to the trade.
• Have the knowledge and skills to produce professional quality work at all times.
• Knowledge of restoration techniques.
• Knowledge of Company facilities and locations.
• This position requires the use of respiratory protection and will require compliance with applicable regulations.
• Comply with all current related safety and health requirements.
• Able to read, understand and comply with all current Company policies and procedures.
• Must possess physical stamina and condition to withstand heavy labor related work in an outside environment.
• Must be capable of lifting objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, be at least 21 years old, have a good driving record, and will be required to pass a DOT physical for operation of vehicles from 10,001 to 16,000 pounds.
