Bike Rental Specialists

Reporting Relationships:

Reports to Old Faithful Snowlodge Gift Shop Manager

Responsibilities:

• Maintain standards of bike rental operations during the summer season, through proper direction, control, coordination and delegation.
• Provide excellent guest service by adhering to Xanterra’s hospitality standards.
• Supervise and assist in managing bike rentals, proper recordkeeping and scheduling.
• Maintain the inventory of bikes and accessories to ensure they are in good working order; including the assembly of new bikes and routine maintenance of rental fleet.
• Perform all bike rental duties as assigned (bike rentals, repairs, retail sales, visitor information).
• Implement and assist with the development of bike rental program covering shop procedures for bike rentals and repairs, retail sales, and departmental accounting procedures.
• Responsible for preseason organization and set up of bike rental area.
• Coordinate special order purchases for bike rental inventory and direct expenses.
• Coordinate revisions and production of bike rental maps, rental information displays and departmental marketing materials.
• Advise the Director as needed during off season planning and organization.
• Assist in the gift shop as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Knowledge of bike assembly and maintenance.
• General knowledge of gift shops and distribution center policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate a professional approach and strong managerial skills in managing bike rental operations.
• Able to perform duties with minimal supervision; excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Able to operate Company vehicles safely.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand/walk for a minimum eight-hour shift.
• Frequently lift and carry objects/cartons weighing up to 50 lbs up and down stairs.
• Able to bend down or kneel frequently during a shift.
