Parkwide Custodial Technician

About the Job...

Parkwide Custodial Technician travels the park, cleaning and maintaining flooring surfaces in hotels, lodges and other buildings operated by Xanterra Parks & Resorts.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to the Carpet/Floor Lead and Manager of Custodial Services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform cleaning services as scheduled at all Park facilities.
Utilizing established standards, procedures, techniques, and training for cleaning of floors and carpets.
Cleaning and general maintenance of equipment.
Correct use of Kronos.
Safe operations of Company equipment and vehicle.
Other duties as assigned by the Parkwide Custodial Lead Tech.
Reduces, reuses and recycles whenever possible.
May be scheduled for Housekeeping duties that include making beds, vacuuming or cleaning bathrooms.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Ability to work and communicate with others.
Must be a minimum age of 19 to operate a Company vehicle.
Must have a valid drivers license and a good driving record.
Knowledge of procedures and work place safety and the ability to use cleaning chemicals.
Knowledge of Company policies and procedures.
Knowledge of Park Locations and road system.  (Training provided)
In-park and overnight travel required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Stretching, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, climbing up and down stairs for up to 8-10 hours per shift.
Making beds, stripping rooms, cleaning toilets for up to 6 hours per shift.
The ability to sit and drive for up to 6 hours per day on a daily basis.
The ability to push or pull 50-75 pounds on a frequent, repetitive daily basis.

To take necessary steps to ensure excellent guest service.
To respond immediately to any unsafe condition.
