Yellowstone Housekeeping Trainer


REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to the Manager of Training and Standards, Housekeeping.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote and train high levels of guest service and cleaning standards with Housekeeping staff.
  • Assist in preparing the training areas and supplies during the opening phase at each location.
  • Present the Housekeeping training programs for Room Attendants, Team Leaders, Housepersons
       and Linen Supply Agents.
  • Assist the Manager of Training and Standards, Housekeeping, in ensuring company and department
       policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Conduct follow-up training on location for Room Attendants, Team Leaders, Housepersons and
       Linen Supply Agents.
  • Conduct inspections at all locations encompassing guest units, public areas and back-of-the-house areas.
       Provide typed observations and coordinate follow-up actions plans with the Manager
       of Training and Standards, Housekeeping.
  • Make suggestions for revisions and improvements in the training program.
  • Monitor supply inventories at locations and the Warehouse.
  • Assist with Support Office coverage.
  • Ensure safety and environmental programs are being implemented.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.

  • Willingness to enforce Company and Department policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of Housekeeping computer programs; MS Outlook, LMS, AS400 and Kronos
  • Knowledge of products used and chemical safety relating to Housekeeping
  • Knowledge of vacuum maintenance and general safety practices
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and DOT physical
  • In-park and overnight travel required
  • Physical requirements include:
  •     Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
        Making beds, bending, kneeling, stretching and reaching
        Standing for long periods of time, frequent walking up and down stairs, as well as in outdoor areas
        Frequent lifting and carrying of supplies and linens
        Pushing a hotel cart or cabin cart up to 50-75 pounds
        Working with required chemials
        Able to drive a standard (stick shift) vehicle

    AUTHORITIES:

  • To recommend and implement change to improve the efficiency of Housekeeping operations.
  • To respond immediately to unsafe situations.
