Kitchen Crew

KITCHEN CREW

About the Job:

Kitchen Crew are the backbone of our food service operations, working in a variety of job assignments.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports directly to the appropriate manager or supervisor on duty. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide excellent guest service in an efficient manner.
  • Responsible for prep, set-up, service, clean up, and restocking of food service areas.
  • Adhere to all sanitation requirements including product rotation, temperature maintenance, storage procedures, cooking requirements, and handling techniques.
  • Maintain appearance and uniform standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen, dining and service areas. Ensure work area is orderly and properly stocked.
  • Completes assigned duties within each shift.
  • Develop and maintain positive communication and teamwork with all co-workers and supervisors.
  • Conducts themselves in a professional manner with the awareness that all actions and communications are within guest and staffs view. Ensure a congenial atmosphere for all.
  • Follow Company and departmental environmental practices to minimize wasted energy and resources.
  • Follow Company and departmental safety practices to minimize risk to self and others.
  • Follow Company and departmental policies and procedures. 

Dishwasher, Pot Washer, Porter:

  • Responsible for cleaning all kitchen service ware and general kitchen area.
  • Handles cleaning agents and ware washing chemicals in this position. 

Cafeteria Busser, Hot Runner, Server, Cold Runner:

  • Responsible for prep, set-up, service, clean up, and restocking of food service areas.
  • Responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction. 

Cafeteria Cashier:

  • Accurately enter all food and beverage items in to the Aloha POS system, collect and process forms of payment ensuring guest satisfaction throughout
  • Responsible for collecting accurate payment from the guest, securely handling and balancing a cash bank, processing all forms of payment and accurately depositing all sales. 

Buffet Runner, Server:

  • Responsible for prep, set-up, service, clean up and restocking of guest buffets.
  • Responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction. 

Pantry Baker, Lunch-line, Bulk Prep, Sandwich Person, Front Pantry, A.M. Pantry, P.M. Pantry:

  • Responsible for preparation of bulk items, salad bar items, to order items, etc. as needed for guest and employee service.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Ability to organize and prioritize under pressure while maintaining a calm and pleasant demeanor.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Ability to absorb large amounts of information quickly: Service procedures, menus and set-up requirements.
  • Knowledge of basic sanitation and kitchen equipment skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, approximately 8 hours.
  • Must be able to walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, and reach for extended periods of time.

AUTHORITIES:

Respond immediately and professionally to guest service issues and report the situation to the Restaurant Chef or F&B Manager on duty.
