Each building has a community room, laundry facilities and pay phones. Storage space in each dorm room is limited. There are no kitchen facilities. The employee dining room is located in Lake Hotel.

After Work, staff at Lake are close-knit. During off time, they can be found taking advantage of free (space available) scenic cruiser tours or fishing boat rentals. Many will make the short but steep hike up Elephant Back for a view of the lake and the hotel.

Lake area residents are closest to the East entrance of Yellowstone, which takes them to Cody, Wyoming and "town." Cody boasts the proud label of "Rodeo Capital of the World."

Lake Lodge hosts the employee recreation hall for the entire Lake area. It houses workout equipment, Internet access and a full sports court.

Also, an outdoor basketball/volleyball court are available in the Lake Hotel dorm area. The Yellowstone Co-op Employee Recreation program schedules van trips to local attractions and towns, hiking trips, white water rafting, big-screen movies, dances and live music.

The Yellowstone Lake area is a magnificent place to spend the summer! Each day on the lake will be filled with wildlife, beautiful skies and the ever-changing personality of Yellowstone Lake.

So, get your backpack and your fishing gear together and apply now! If you are not assigned to the Yellowstone Lake area, you will only be a short drive away and can still spend the day lakeside.
