Yellowstone National Park Lodges is operated by Xanterra Parks & Resorts®. In addition to Yellowstone, Xanterra operates facilities in a number of national parks including Bryce Canyon, Death Valley, Everglades, Crater Lake, Petrified Forest, Grand Canyon, Zion and Mount Rushmore National Memorial. Your Work Week -
Employees typically work 32-48 hours per week, but the number of hours may vary based on staffing needs and business levels. Hours are not guaranteed.

Your Work Day -
You may work morning, evening or, in some cases, split shifts. There are a few night shift positions available.

How you look is part of the impression we make on our guests. Our standards include the following:

Yes, Please... No Way!...
  • Neat, well-groomed    hairstyle.
  • Clean, wrinkle-free    uniform.
  • One pair earrings    worn in ear only.
  • Extreme hairstyles    in guest contact    positions.
  • Extreme tattoos    visible in guest    contact positions.
  • Rings or studs in    any other visible    body part at work.
  • Alcohol and Drug-Free work place
    A productive, safe work environment leaves no room for alcohol at work or the use of illegal drugs at any time. Employees are subject to pre-employment, random, periodic and/or reasonable cause alcohol and drug testing. Our jobs and homes are on federal land, and any offense of the "zero-tolerance" drug policy will be handled under federal jurisdiction.

    A Positive Letter of Recommendation
    is required before an employee can begin employment. Details for submission are given during the hiring process.

    A Background Check
    is a condition of employment and will be done on every employee. Individuals with outstanding wants, warrants
    and some felony convictions will not be employed.

    Summer Jobs in Yellowstone! Seasonal Jobs in Yellowstone! Living in Yellowstone! Where is Yellowstone? Playing in Yellowstone! And...Your Paycheck!

  • Starting wage for most entry level positions is $7.25 per hour.
  • All Summer 2008 seasonal employees qualify for our bonus program! Employees who complete work agreements at the end of the season will be paid a $2.00 per day bonus for every day they are employed. That includes days off! Payment is issued when the seasonal agreement is completed. Bonus program money begins to accrue this year on 3/27/08.
  • On-site housing, meals, utilities and laundry facilities are provided to employees with a payroll deduction. See the information below.
  • For employees who have arranged with their hiring department to bring their own RV, the site rental will vary from $83.00 to $100.00 per pay period (two weeks) and will be deducted from their paycheck. Some sites require separate billing for utilities and exact deductions will be specified in your employee agreement. Laundry facilities are available on location.   • The amount of room and board deduction is based on the number of hours an employee works during the pay period (not on the number of days at location).

    A pay period is two weeks long. The maximum room and board deduction per paycheck is $142.00 (plus applicable sales tax). for employees who work 58 or more hours in that pay period. For employees working 57 hours or less during a pay period, the amount of the deduction is prorated based on actual hours worked.
