About the Job...

Serving our "internal guests" is an important job in Yellowstone! The Employee Pubtender serves food and drinks to employees on location at the Employee Pub. Pubtenders must have some bartending experience and the ability to prepare and serve simple food items. All employees serving alcohol must be 21 years old or older.


REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to the Pub Lead and/or Food and Beverage Manager on duty.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform all job duties toward the goal of providing excellent guest service in an efficient manner.
  • Provide gracious and professional beverage service in an efficient manner.
  • Act in a professional manner with the awareness that all actions and
       and communications are within guest view.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and uniform standards.
  • Develop and promote a teamwork attitude with all co-workers.
  • Knowledgeable of brand selections, prices and garnishes.
  • Keep the bar clean, orderly and properly stocked.
  • Participate in the ordering of supplies from the warehouse.
  • Participate in bi-weekly inventories as scheduled.
  • Complete assigned duties with each shift.
  • Follow and maintain all systems and procedures established by the company.
  • Follow and maintain established standards of sanitation.
  • Operate cash registers properly, accurately handling all revenue transactions and balancing
       cash drawer at the end of each shift.
  • Maintain open and positive communication with supervisors and co-workers.
  • Make a reasonable effort in preventing a guest from becoming intoxicated.
  • Participate in the T.I.P.S. program toward the goal of certification.
  • Solicit identification from employees when serving a minor is an issue.
  • Follow company and departmental environmental practices to minimize wasted energy and resources.

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of brands and selections.
  • Knowledge of all drink recipes and pricing.
  • Knowledge of computer operations and ordering procedures.
  • Knowledge of basic sanitation.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Knowledge Point of Sale or cash register system.
  • Possession of valid driver's license.
  • Physical requirements include:
        Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
        Able to carry heavy and/or hot food containers
        Able to work with and use various kitchen instruments and equipment
        Able to stand on feet for at least eight (8) hours each day
        Bending and kneeling
        Stretching and reaching
        Working with required chemicals
