A Residence Coordinator in Yellowstone National Park is responsible for keeping employee residences and surrounding areas clean, safe and comfortable while maintaining an appropriate environment in the residences for living, resting and recreating. This position maintains a residence free from vandalism and inappropriate behavior, with security and Xanterra policy and regulations consistently enforced. This position offers wages above standard base-pay and a housing benefit.
Residence Coordinators wear uniforms provided by the company. Employees must
provide close-toed shoes.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to the
Personnel Manager or Assistant Personnel Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for keeping employee residences and surrounding
areas clean, safe and comfortable; maintaining an appropriate
environment in the residences for living, resting and recreating.
Maintain a residence free from vandalism and inappropriate
behavior, with security and Xanterra regulations and policies
enforced consistently.
Responsible for establishing a working relationship with residents;
helping to create and maintain a sense of community
in a suitable environment.
Should take an interest in and be supportive of activities,
programs and events which take place in the residence, and in
area recreation events.
As a role model, the RC must use discretion as to the depth of
involvement, so as not to compromise their position as a
supervisor in the residence facility.
Maintain high standards of residence housekeeping following daily and weekly
cleaning schedules, as well as reporting additional needs and
concerns to the Personnel Manager.
Keeping accurate records of resident's arrivals, activities, transfers and terminations; completing all administrative work and assignments
promptly and accurately, including residence lists, daily reports,
housing agreements/issues.
Provide a clearing house for employee problems, complaints and discipline; handling
issues above and beyond the realm of their position, utilizing
resources and making referrals.
Using proper operating and preventative maintenance techniques with company issued
equipment and cleaning agents such as vacuum cleaners and chemicals.
Provide proper level of security for master keys, room keys and the residence.
Serve as Xanterra Parks & Resorts supervisor and role model for residents.
The minimum expected is the personal observation of all residence and Xanterra Parks & Resorts policies, and state and federal laws.
Support efforts of fellow staff members and contribute to a team effort in
in whatever capacity may be needed.
Assist in maintaining safety standards for employee residences.
Other duties as assigned.

Physical requirements include:
Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Bending and kneeling
Stretching and reaching
Frequent walking up and down staircases
Working with required chemicals and equipment
