About the Job...

The Reservations Sales Agent is a primary member of the Reservations Department team! Reservations Sales Agents help people who have never been to Yellowstone learn about all the ways to experience the park.  Agents help future guests plan their vacation in Yellowstone by informing them about lodging, dining and activities available around the park, and assisting with making reservations.

 

Reservations Sales Agents dress in business casual attire during work hours. No blue jeans or shorts and leather-only shoes or sandals. No flip-flop sandals permitted. The company does not provide uniform wear for this position.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports directly to Reservations Supervisors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Handle incoming telephone calls for lodging and activity reservations, entering new reservations, changes and cancellations into the computer.
  • Promote a positive guest experience by helping with guest intineraries, making suggestions for lodging and activities, promoting adventure planners and offering other guest experience opportunities.
  • File guest correspondence or other reservation documentation as needed.
  • Perform other non-specified duties, including preparing confirmation mailings and maintaining an orderly work area.
  • Perform duties outside the job classification, as assigned by management.

  • Ability to converse coherently in English.
  • Ability to deal with callers tactfully.
  • Ability to use basic computer applications.
  • Basic keyboarding procifiency.
  • Ability to retain information.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Time management skills.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Strong communications skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • The physical ability to sit for at least eight hours per day.
  • Work with required chemicals.
