Room Attendant
ROOM ATTENDANT
About the Job:
For Room Attendants in Yellowstone National Park, it's all about being part of a team and caring about the comfort of our guests! They are responsible for cleaning guest rooms and making them comfortable and inviting.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to the Team Leader of the assigned area and the Housekeeping Managers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide our guests with the best in service, courtesy and care.
- Clean and prepare guest rooms.
- Comply with procedures for chemical use and room cleaning systems.
- Comply with the Housekeeping polices and procedures.
- Comply with Ecologix environmental polices and procedures.
- Work safely to avoid injuries and accidents, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment.
- Report unsafe conditions and maintenance concerns to the Team Leader.
- Assist with maintaining linen room cleanliness.
- Complete daily linen counts.
- Maintain Room Attendant cart and related equipment.
- Assist with other Housekeeping duties as assigned by the Team Leader.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Organizational skills.
- Time management skills.
- The ability to follow instructions accurately.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Stretching, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, climbing up and down stairs for up to 7-8 hours per shift.
- Making beds, stripping rooms, cleaning toilets for up to 8 hours per shift.
- Complete a list of 14-18 rooms.
- The ability to push or pull 50-75 pounds on a frequent basis.
- Working with required chemicals up to 8 hours a day.
AUTHORITIES:
- To take necessary steps to ensure excellent guest service.
- To respond immediately to any unsafe condition.
