Guest Housing in Canyon Village The small staff at "Roosie" comes together for just a few months each summer and quickly forms a close-knit community. Memories are created sitting around the campfire, comparing bear stories and hiking adventures. Group activities include participation in parkwide sports leagues and gathering in the Recreation Cabin for games and music. The Employee Recreation Program offers even more opportunity for staff to get together and have fun!

The rustic setting of the Roosevelt community means that employees should bring an "outdoors" attitude. Staff is encouraged to bring items that will be helpful in this unique environment - a flashlight to help maneuver through trees and over rocks, a warm coat, something to carry toiletries in, boots for the wet, muddy spring, mosquito repellant, and easy-to-slip-on shoes for those midnight runs to the restroom!

Sound a bit primitive?... Midway through the season, you'll reflect on your surroundings and the friends you've made, and you'll understand why employees return to Roosevelt year after year.
