Some facts about Roosevelt Lodge:
Employee Life at Roosevelt Lodge:
Employees live in rustic cabins that have electricity, but no running water. Bathroom facilities
are located in several buildings throughout the cabin area. Cabins are heated by wood-burning stove
and wood-chip logs are provided for employees. Employees generally live three to a cabin with a bed,
dresser and chair for each person. Storage is limited. Laundry facilities are located in
the employee cabin area.
The rustic setting of the Roosevelt community means that employees should bring an "outdoors" attitude.
Staff is encouraged to bring items that will be helpful in this unique environment - a flashlight
to help maneuver through trees and over rocks, a warm coat, something to carry toiletries in, boots
for the wet, muddy spring, mosquito repellant, and easy-to-slip-on shoes for those midnight runs
to the restroom!

Midway through the season, you'll reflect on your surroundings and the friends you've made, and
you'll understand why employees return to Roosevelt year after year.
About Roosevelt Lodge...
The lodge is one large building that houses the front desk area, dining room, small gift counter,
and lounge with fireplace and cozy conversation areas. Guests love to sit on the rustic front porch and watch the
sun set over the Absaroka Mountains in the distance.
If Roosie is your destination...
Whether it's for one summer, or many summers to come, your memories and friendships of this
season will stay in your heart forever.
The small staff at "Roosie" comes together for just a few months each summer and quickly
forms a close-knit community. Memories are created sitting around the campfire, comparing
bear stories and hiking adventures. Group activities include participation in parkwide sports
leagues and gathering in the Recreation Cabin for games and music.
The Employee Recreation Program
offers even more opportunity for staff to get together and have fun!
