About the Job...

Server Assistants help guests, servers and hosts in our dining rooms by clearing, cleaning and resetting tables and keeping beverage glasses filled. And, as with all of our front of the house staff, Server Assistants answer guests' questions, listen to stories of adventure and share their own enthusiasm for the Park.

Server Assistants wear uniforms provided by the company. Employees must provide their own black leather, no-skid, closed toe shoes and dark socks.


REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to the Dining Room Manager and/or Food and Beverage Manager on duty.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide excellent guest service in an efficient manner within a high-volume, high-standard dining room.
  • Serve and refill beverage glasses for guests. Clear and set tables in accordance with all sanitation and service
       standards. Transport and sort dirty tableware from the Dining Room into the dish drop area.
  • Follow all dining room procedures including; ensuring an organized and full stocked side stand,
       completing of all assigned sidework duties, and maintaining the cleanliness of all work areas.
  • Assist Servers and Hosts when specifically requested.
  • Develop knowledge of all menu items, ingredients and preparation techniques, along with general Park    information.
  • Report to work when scheduled in a clean, neat uniform, meeting all grooming and appearance standards.
  • Develop and maintain teamwork and positive communication with all co-workers and supervisors: Front and    back of house.
  • Handle all guest service issues in an immediate, gracious and professional manner.
  • Follow company and departmental environmental practices to minimize wasted energy and resources.
  • Assist with other duties as requested.

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Physical requirements include:

  •     Able to lift and carry heavy, hot and/or bulky items up to 50 pounds on a
        regular basis
        Able to carry heavy, oval serving trays between dining room and kitchen
        Able to work with and use various kitchen instruments and equipment
        Able to stand on feet for at least eight (8) hours each day
        Bending and kneeling
        Stretching and reaching
        Working with required chemicals
