Warehouse Manager
WAREHOUSE MANAGER
Warehouse uniforms are provided by the company. Employees must bring their own leather, closed-toe, non-skid shoes.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports directly to the Old Faithful Inn F&B Manager and Restaurant Chef and indirectly to the Assistant Director, Purchasing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform all job duties toward the goal of providing excellent guest service.
- Accept responsibility for receiving, storing, and issuing all products that the warehouse handles.
- Handle, distribute and file all documents necessary to support warehouse transactions.
- Inform the Purchasing Office of any discrepancies in vendor deliveries.
- Inform the Purchasing Office of any discrepancies in the accuracy of the warehouse inventory.
- Establish and maintain an efficient warehouse layout and adjust layout as necessary.
- Rotate all products to represent a “First In-First Out” philosophy of product usage.
- Develop and maintain positive communication and teamwork with all co-workers and supervisors: Warehouse, Storekeeper, Kitchen
- Perform a physical count of all inventory items on a weekly basis—follow up on discrepancies and track errors.
- Maintain and project a professional attitude and appearance at all times. Maintains appearance and uniform standards.
- Perform all clerical duties on a daily basis: keying in receivers, requisitions and transfers.
- Accurately check in all vendor deliveries.
- Accurately check out all warehouse deliveries.
- Be able to recognize all products the warehouse handles on a regular basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain an accurate Warehouse Stock Status Report
- Responsible for ensuring warehouse vehicles are properly operated and maintained.
- Follow Company and departmental environmental practices to minimize wasted energy and resources.
- Follow Company and departmental safety practices to minimize risk to self and others.
- Follow Company policies and procedures.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of management skills.
- Knowledge of basic Company accounting procedures.
- Knowledge of how to maintain accurate inventories.
- Knowledge of different products warehoused.
- Knowledge of proper rotation and storage techniques.
- Knowledge of Company procedures concerning warehouse operations and security.
- Knowledge of Company computer system.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, approximately 8 hours.
- Must be able to walk for long periods of time, approximately 8 hours.
- Must be able to lift and carry a maximum of 70 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, and reach for extended periods of time.
AUTHORITIES:
Train and direct warehouse staff towards the goal of providing excellent guest service while maintaining fiscal control of warehouse inventory.
