Yellowstone National Park... is in the northern Rocky
Mountain Range. Located mostly in Wyoming, the park crosses into Montana
to the north and Idaho to the west.
Yellowstone National Park is in the great open spaces of the west!
Distance is on a grand scale, making travel time between towns longer than
those of more populated areas.(Did you know that the entire population of Wyoming is less than 500,000 people? That's only a fraction of the population of many major cities!) Some distances to and from: What does that mean to you? It means you will have to plan your trip to
Yellowstone! Xanterra Parks & Resorts® does not pay for your transportation to Yellowstone. You must make and pay for your own travel arrangements. You can use the Mapquest link below to get further information and start to plan your journey! For those driving to the park... be sure your final destination is the
North Entrance of Yellowstone in Gardiner, Montana, where all new
employees check in for work. Make sure to plan for all expenses neccessary
to get here! Remember, your costs will include gas, food, lodging and
possibly vehicle repairs while on the road.
Since there is no public transportation in Yellowstone, bringing your
own vehicle will make it easy to explore the park and surrounding areas in
your off time.
